Because Everyone Deserves to Feel at Home
We transform under-resourced living spaces into places of comfort, identity, and dignity for families navigating trauma, hardship, or transition in Toronto and Hamilton.
One room at a time. One life at a time.
OUR STORY
A Message from Our Founder, Kate Adah
Space for Hope Foundation was born from a place of compassion and a deep understanding of the transformative power of a welcoming, well-designed home.
With a professional background in interior design and real estate, I also have personal passion for creating environments that foster comfort, functionality, and peace of mind.
Throughout my career, I witnessed how a thoughtfully designed space could positively affect mental health, providing individuals and families with a sense of stability, pride, and hope. I also saw the disparities faced by low-income families and vulnerable individuals who often lack access to these benefits living in spaces that do not reflect their worth or support their well-being.
Motivated by these experiences, I founded Space for Hope Foundation to bridge that gap, combining my expertise in interior design with my desire to uplift others. Starting with small projects in my community, I began transforming spaces for families in need one home at a time.
Since then, Space for Hope Foundation has grown into a dedicated organization serving Hamilton and the Greater Toronto Area, touching the lives of countless individuals through the power of compassionate design. For me, this is more than a career it’s a mission to bring dignity, hope, and healing to those who need it most.

“Being part of this team is so rewarding. Seeing the joy on families’ faces makes all the hard work worth it.”

“Space for Hope redesigned my home while still preserving the memory of my son. When I
lost my son, I lost touch with the house. I’m happy — and I know Anthony would be happy
with this arrangement.”
